SPM NEW FEATURE
Customers’ feedback always drives us to develop new solutions that enhance your pavement management. Concrete panel shift without any surface cracks is one of the critical issues for cities managing large concrete pavement networks. Tackling this issue, we developed a new service in our line-up: SPM-IRI.
The International Roughness Index (IRI) is a widely used measure of roughness developed by the World Bank. Although the primary purpose of the IRI is to measure rideability, the index also serves to identify panel gaps and sinks without any surface cracks. To provide the same benefits, we launched SPM-IRI using acceleration data collected during pavement assessments. In addition to the overall condition assessment, SPM-IRI offers supplemental information to grasp concrete panel distress without any surface cracks.
